Steel Detailing is the process of translating design/engineering/contract drawings to shop drawings. This process involves detailing of all steel parts for their interconnectivity & assembly so as to help the fabricator easy and speedy fabrication of steel parts in shop.
The steel fabrication shop requires drawings for every piece of steel used on a structure. Fabrication drawings will show how each piece of steel would be placed and connected by giving an identification mark. It will depict how will bolts and welds placed and defined.
